This beautiful Portuguese-colonial house, with its grand entrance and long driveway, is a true tropical haven of tranquility. Conveniently placed on the edge of Siolim, the Villa receives and pampers like a home, but also evokes an exotic and luxurious lifestyle, unique only to the Orient. Gilded pediments above doors, objets d’art, gold braid cushions on antique furniture set the style indoors while stone statues dress the garden of crotons and pathways.

India’s national bird acquires more plumes at the first room. A chandelier clinks and twinkles over a decorative peacock portrait with twin beds below. The interior can be described as very Maharaja and decor of the 1920’s. A mystic painting of the holy mountain Kailash, which lies in the Tibet, presides over the bedsteads with a serene benediction that spreads the whole space. Very white and sacred - including the inlaid mother-of-pearl almirah- this feeling spills over to a certain mirrored exuberance in the bathroom.
